In an encouraging leap for Assam’s fashion scene, the homegrown brand InStyle Talks made a striking debut at the East India Fashion Week (EIFW) Season Six on May 3, 2025, held at the Vivanta Hotel in Guwahati  . The brand’s presentation—titled The Xophura Collective: Corporate Style—showcased modern woven elegance amidst silk and khadi ensembles, highlighting local heritage with global appeal.

The runway was brought to life by a lineup of Assamese models—from Careenica Misra and Pihu Dey to Madhu Baruah and Simakshi Baishya—who embodied the collection’s sleek aesthetic. Standout names like Debika RaniUdisee BorgohainCimon Sharma, and Nikita Kotoky, among others, added to the evening’s charm with poised elegance. The showcase was elevated by the presence of Debojit Bhattacharyya, former Rubaru Mr. India (2017) and Dada Saheb Phalke awardee (2021), who marked a showstopper appearance in a sharply tailored three-piece suit—his confident stride and charisma sealing the evening’s success.

The choreography of the show was expertly managed by Sanju Ray, while Unique Borah captured the runway’s memorable moments through his lens.

Founded in 2024 by Monalee, InStyle Talks has quickly become a cultural ambassador of Assamese textiles, specializing in handloom and khadi. The brand’s participation in EIFW illustrates Assam’s growing presence in the fashion landscape and signals deeper representation across Eastern India.
